Details: One-time run only. When program is ran, PC will shut down in 4 seconds, any user will not be able to log on again. You can only fix it by transferring the hard drive to another computer, or running another OS. Please handle with care.

NOTE: PROGRAM WILL NOT WORK IF RENAMED
Details: Opens itself and taskmgr.exe every millisecond. Can flood one processor core. If not stopped immediately, it can flood all the cores. You can fix it by restarting the computer.

How to put your own Flash Movies on your Blogs FOR FREE

Web Tweak#1 - Put your own Flash Movies on your blog. 5 steps, Average.

Concept: We will put a flash movie from your pc to the web, and then we will embed it in your blog using html.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You should be able to put html codes in your blog to embed flash movies.

Step 1: Find a free file hosting site where you can put and make files public (all people can download them). Here, we will use fileden.com as an example.

Step 2: Know the dimensions of the Flash movie.
(ex. 550x400)

Step 3: Upload the flash movie you want to put.

Step 4: Get the URL of the flash movie you just uploaded.
(ex. http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/5/6/1052077/header.swf)

Step 5: Go to your blog and insert an html code containing the code in the picture above.

Step 6: View your blog. If the movie is too big or too small, modify the width and height in the html code.

How To Create an Icon for Your Flash Drive

Tweak 5 - Change the Flash Disk Icon. 4 steps, Average difficulty.

Concept: Just like the CD Autorun, we will use the Autorun.inf file to create an icon for your Flash Disk. Unfortunately, only the icon works, but not the .exe autorun.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is for a Flash Disk, for a CD, go to Tweak 4.

Step 1: Create a new text file, or run notepad.
Step 2: Type these in:
[Autorun]
icon=
Step 3: For the icon, put the name of the icon you like for the Flash Disk. Again, make sure the icon is inside the Flash Disk. You can make the icon and the .inf file hidden.
Step 4: Save the changes and put the icon with the .inf file inside the Flash Disk.

How to Make a Good CD Autorun

Tweak 4 - Create a CD Autorun. 5 steps, Easy.

Concept: A CD Autorun has some kind of "code" in it, which runs when you insert or double-click the CD. The code is stored in a file named "Autorun.inf", and we'll make one.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This won't work unless you burn it in the CD along with the icon and the Autorun program.

Step 1: Create a new text file, or run notepad.
Step 2: Type these in:
[Autorun]
icon=
open=
Step 3: For the icon, put the name of the icon you like for the CD. Make sure the icon is in the CD, but don't put it in any folder. You can get messed up.
Step 4: For the open, put the name of the Autorun program for the CD. It will run when you put the CD in, or when you double-click it.
Step 5: Save the changes, then you can put it in the CD.

How to Remove Programs that Run During Start-up

Tweak 3- Remove programs that run during startup. 4 steps, Easy

Concept: Some programs automatically run from startup and runs forever until you shut down your PC. They can make your PC a lot slower, especially Anti-virus apps that scan every startup even though we don't need them yet. To prevent it, we can remove remove them from the
"startup list".

IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all programs can be removed from the list permanently, because they can put themselves in the list again after you run them. However, most can be removed. Be careful not to remove necessary programs, because they are important. Some are just spware, so you can just remove them.

Step 1: In the run command, run "msconfig". That is the system configuration utility, which we will use.
Step 2: Click the Startup tab. In the list, you can uncheck the boxes that you want to remove from startup. To be sure, you can check the location. Most programs from the program files folders are useless, like updaters. When you're done, press OK.
Step 3: When you press OK, a dialog box will open, asking if you will restart now, or later. You can choose either. But you must restart your computer.
Step 4: When you have restarted, a dialog box will open again. Check the check box, then click OK.

Changing the "All Programs" in the Start Menu

Tweak 2 - Change "All Programs". 9 steps, Average difficulty.

Concept: This is just like changing the start button but instead this is "All Programs" that we need to change. We will modify explorer.exe. If you have already done Tweak#1, jump to Step 3.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This changes the "All Programs" for all users, so don't do this if it isn't yours.

Step 1: To be safe, make a backup of explorer.exe from C:\Windows to your desktop.
Step 2: Rename the copy on your desktop to explorercopy.exe.
Step 3: Using your decompiler, decompile explorercopy.exe, click the resource viewer button and choose String#515 or if it's not named string#515, for other decompilers, search for the one with the "All Programs" text in it.
Step 4: After choosing string#515, edit it. Rename the "All Programs" word with anything else you want. You can also edit the other words there.
Step 5: Save the changes, and copy it to C:\Windows.
Step 6: Open the Registry Editor.
Step 7: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT
\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.
Step 8: Edit the key string "Shell", and replace explorer.exe with explorercopy.exe.
Step 9: Restart your computer.

Changing the Start Button

Tweak 1 - Change the Start button. 9 steps, Average difficulty.

Concept: The whole taskbar is in the system process explorer.exe, and we need to change it.
But it cannot be a straightforward change; instead, we need to duplicate it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This changes all start buttons for all users, so don't do this if it isn't yours.

Step 1: To be safe, make a backup of explorer.exe from C:\Windows to your desktop.
Step 2: Rename the copy on your desktop to explorercopy.exe.
Step 3: Using your decompiler, decompile explorercopy.exe, click the resource viewer button and choose String#37 or if it's not named string#37, for other decompilers, search for the one with the "start" text in it.
Step 4: After choosing string#37, edit it. Rename the "start" word with anything else you want.
Step 5: Save the changes, and copy it to C:\Windows.
Step 6: Open the Registry Editor.
Step 7: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT
\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.
Step 8: Edit the key string "Shell", and replace explorer.exe with explorercopy.exe.
Step 9: Restart your computer.

The Tools

Second step: having the tools. These 2 tools are enough.

(1) The Registry Editor. I think everybody who uses Windows has it, and can be opened
by typing "regedit" in the run command. Or if you can't do that, go to Local
Disk\Windows\System32\regedit.exe.
(2) An executable decompiler. It is used for most of the tweaks. A powerful tool that can mislead you. They can be downloaded everywhere, and if you want to have one for free, contact me. The one I'm using in my screen shots is PE Explorer, from heaventools.com.

They're very powerful, and that makes them dangerous. I REALLY suggest you don't play with them.

The Tweaking Readme

(2) I'm not responsible for sudden changes in your pc.
(3) I don't encourage YOU to change copyrighted software.
(4) I'm not responsible for crashes.
By the way, I have tested all the tweaks on my pcs, and they all work.
